European Mars Conference "Humans in Space" and European Rover Challenge 2014

FASTER project was presented at the European Mars Conference "Humans in Space" and European Rover Challenge 2014 on 5-7 September, at Regionalne Centrum Naukowo-Technologiczne in Podzamcze, near Kielce. The project was presented to broad space exploration community, a.o. to Robert Zubrin, Mars Society chief and key person, and to former chief of NASA Ames Prof. G. Scott Hubbard, as well as key persons from polish space industry segment and government.

 

European Rover Chellenge, or ERC, was the first  international competition organized by Mars Society Polska, in cooperation with the Austrian Space Forum, Regional Science-Technology Centre in ChÄ?ciny and the Marshal Office of the ??wiÄ?tokrzyskie Voivodeship. It was the European student planetary rover competition, where 10 teams from Europe, Asia and South America presented their rovers during 3 tasks played on specially prepared ‘Mars-like’ terrain near Regionalne Centrum Naukowo-Technologiczne (RCN-T).
